Located between the islands of Žirje, Pašman and Dugi Otok, the Kornati Islands are the densest group of islands in the Mediterranean. The biggest attraction of the archipelago are the vertical cliffs and rocks, facing open sea. 89 of 152 of Kornati Islands were declared a national park in 1980. The islands boast with extraordinary beauty of landscape, the rich flora and fauna and the abundance of natural bays. Kornati are a unique experience for those who love crystal clear sea, peace and quiet. Thanks to its numerous coves, bays and „wild“ ports, Kornati are the nautical diving paradise. Although the Kornati are not permanently inhabited, there are a few restaurants for every food lover, scattered around well preserved bays on islands Žut, Sit and Kornat.

Telašćica lies on the southeastern part of the island of Dugi Otok. It is one of the biggest, safest and most beautiful Croatian natural harbours, which makes it mandatory sailing destination.

Telašćica bay, with around 15 surrounding islands and islets, was proclaimed a Nature Park in 1988, thanks to its exceptional beauty. This area has exceptionally valuable plant and animal life and lush colonies of the sea bottom. Telašćica boasts peaceful beaches on one side and wild steep cliffs on the other.

In the southwestern part of the Nature Park is located lake Mir. It lies in a narrow area of land between the open sea and Telašćica bay. The shores of the lake are rocky and low and swimming in the lake is permitted.
