Hvar is a part of the central Dalmatian archipelago. It is the longest and the sunniest Croatian island. Sandwiched between the islands of Korčula and Brač, Hvar is blessed with an unusually benign climate. Thanks to its mild Mediterranean climate, the island is characterized by gentle winters, warm summers and many hours of sunshine. Hvar is attractive sailing destination because of its dense mediterranean nature, rich tradition and architecture, crystal clear sea, lovely coves and beaches and its nightlife. Much of its coastline, especially on the south and west sides, is intended with numerous small coves providing small anchorages suitable for use in a wide range of wind conditions. In front of the town of Hvar are located Pakleni Islands with the most wonderful beaches.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the world lies on the southern side of the island of Brač, near the picturesque Bol. Zlatni Rat, or Golden Cape, is with its unique shape the most attractive Adriatic beach and one of the symbols of the island of Brač.

It is a white pebble beach and its long pitch stretches around 500 meters to the sea. This very tip of Zlatni Rat keeps changing its shape constantly due to the influence of waves, sea currents and winds, making it appear different and interesting.

The beach is very popular among yachstmen, and also the perfect spot for surfers all over the world. Behind the beach you can find pine tree forest in which are many restaurants where you can taste local specialities.
